About the Author

Not very many people know this, but authors are NOT normal people. They wake up in the middle of the night to jot down ideas (some such ideas turning into impromptu essays on rainbow-colored fur), speak to voices inside of their head as if they were real people (not now, Mikari!), and will roll on the floor as they laugh at their own jokes.
Regan Brianne Guerra is one of these people. A writing career usually takes a while to emerge. This is because it takes God time to transform a perfectly sane, intelligent (if imaginative) person into a psychotic, imaginative (if intelligent) creature of creativity. Hey, it takes some convincing to accept that those voices in your head are your friends.
Thus, Regan's career started when she was about 5 years of age. Her first work, entitled "What Did the Smith Family See?" (embellished with a picture of a family of four looking at something with terrified faces), contained the horrors of giant chickens while on vacation. Tickled and very proud of herself, Regan went on to write another acclaimed title: "The Girl and the Lion."
Her career took a significant leap when, at the age of seven, Regan's school held a writing contest and she managed to be able to show her mother a blue ribbon for her entry (a two-page sequel to a children's story book, something about rabbits attacking hares with giant carrots).
Regan then continued to write nothing for five whole years, but she couldn't stay away from her pencil for longer than that. At twelve years old, she came up with three different short stories, "Snickerdoodle's Dog-Gone Grrreat Adventure," "Brownie of the Americas," and "Comet's Life: A Christmas Story." A few years and mini-attempts at a full-length novel later, Regan completed "Aristotle the Dragon" before falling into a Fan-Fiction trap. While enjoyable, this trap makes it difficult for authors to find their own story and voice.
At last, after a "St. Crispen's Day Speech*" from her heroic father, Regan created the land of Jagumaterra. She discovered Ryedor (then named Abeni) and Ishikarr (then called Chipo) and the three of them became fast friends. (Yes, you too, Mikari)
Six, almost seven years later, after marrying her dark, handsome, incredible husband, the Jagumaterra Trilogy is Regan's first public appearance as a sane, crazy person (also known as a published author).
